- was so harmlos klingt ist ein datentechnischer GAU:
Per Fernsteuerung in Betrieb zu nehmen, ständiger Datenfluß über den Verbrauch .... wenn das nicht ein weitere Mosaikstein hin zu "Big Brother" ist ....
In Kalifornien wurde von der Einführung dank umfassender Bürgeraktionen Abstand genommen - das Energie-Versorgungs-Unternehmen (EVU) will zunächst, als Reaktion auf die vehementen Proteste, sicherstellen daß die Daten geschützt sind und eine Fernabschaltung nur nach vorheriger Benachrichtigung der Verbraucher stattfinden kann ....
Hier wird das Modell "Intelligenter Zähler" als "Sparmodell" verkauft, weil man - angeblich - weniger Strom braucht ....
HÄ? Wie bitte?
Weniger Strom nur dadurch daß man minutengenau zählen kann?
Daß man ab Erzeuger (EVU) abschalten kann?
Weniger Strom wird nur bei weniger Verbrauch wahr ....
Aber wir sind es ja gewohnt von den EVUs belogen zu werden ....

The new ones can do that too, as well as start or stop power via remote control. They also can be programmed with software that, in the future, could allow them to control home appliances, turning off .. washing machines or changing their power levels as needed.

This article writes that if state regulators have their way, they will be able to control the temperature in private citizen’s home by remote control. the new regulations would go into effect for new homes, but how long would it be before they were required in all homes? The article goes on to say that the regulators can change the thermostat in your house to their recommended temperature and you would be able to over-ride it. However, the government would then be able to over-ride your temperature again and lock it in if they wanted to.
